very excited to open our doors to our latest exhibition by local Artist Taylor Beckett.

Taylor is a 22-year-old self-taught artist based in Ipswich. She works with a variety of mediums, predominantly ink, acrylic, and charcoal. Taylor began her art career just two years ago and has since held two solo exhibitions in Woodbridge, as well as winning The Mayor’s Award at the Ipswich Art Society’s 146th Annual Exhibition.

As a local artist, Taylor feels strongly connected to the area, which continues to influence both her work and creative perspective. Inspired by people, architecture, and everyday surroundings, she is drawn to finding the artistry in ordinary moments and buildings that others may overlook.

Exclusive to the W Gallery… we are now proud to be in possession of a run of only 10 limited edition signed prints of Kiara by Zara Muse.

Zara Muse is a contemporary British artist known for her highly textured, three-dimensional portraits. Her work often explores themes of female resilience and beauty using bold acrylics and gypsum applied with palette knives.
Her most significant market moment occurred recently:
• Most Expensive Painting: Her portrait titled “Malala Yousafzai” £51,200 at Bonhams, London, on April 3, 2025.
• The Sale: This set a new record for the artist, selling for over six times its low estimate and marking an 11% increase over her previous auction record set just months earlier.
Since then, Muse has become a favorite among collectors, with her original works frequently achieving high prices at major auction houses like Tate Ward and Bonhams.

Capturing the Essence: Glynne James at The W Gallery

We’re absolutely delighted to announce that a curated selection of the captivating work of British artist Glynne James is now on display right here at The W Gallery in Woodbridge.

Known for his striking blend of realism and expressive abstraction, James’s work offers a unique perspective on the world. His pieces often feature intricate architectural silhouettes juxtaposed against vibrant, segmented backdrops, as seen in this stunning work. This painting, with its iconic Venice skyline (the dome of Santa Maria della Salute is clearly visible!), is a perfect example of his ability to transport viewers and evoke a profound sense of place and atmosphere.

Glynne’s approach is a fascinating study of light, texture, and geometry. His brushwork is deliberate, creating layers of color that seem to float and interlock, while his subjects remain grounded and identifiable. The results are both contemplative and energetic, a truly distinctive voice in contemporary British art.

This is a rare opportunity to see a collection of Glynne James’s work in person. Whether you are a long-time admirer or discovering his art for the first time, this exhibition is a must-see.

Join us at The W Gallery to experience the artistry of Glynne James firsthand. We look forward to welcoming you.

The W Gallery in Woodbridge is currently hosting a stunning new piece by Ingo Glaetsch, offering a rare look at an artist who masterfully bridges the gap between architectural precision and organic movement.

The Architect’s Hand

Glaetsch’s background is anything but traditional. Before turning to the canvas, he was a qualified architect working alongside the legendary Lord Norman Foster. This structural DNA is evident in every piece he creates, capturing the “backbone” of the world’s most iconic skylines.

A Master of Liquid Precision

What makes his work truly remarkable is his technique. Glaetsch never touches the canvas with a brush or pen. Instead:

The Fluid Tool: He pours and drizzles acrylic paint freehand onto horizontal canvases.

Zero Margin for Error: Once a line is poured, it cannot be erased or corrected.

Energy and Flow: This method turns rigid steel and glass structures into vibrating, fluid webs of ink-like paint.

The new work now on display at The W Gallery (45A Thoroughfare) is a masterclass in this “liquid architecture.” It is a piece that demands to be seen in person—where the intricate, hand-poured lines reveal the physical energy Glaetsch pours into every creation.

Whether you are a fan of urban design or contemporary abstraction, this latest addition to the Woodbridge art scene is a must-see.
