Could you spare a few hours a week from this September?

Why not join our lovely friendly team as a volunteer and help support our Visually Impaired Arts Programme which provides specialist support to enable people living with sight loss in Suffolk to engage with arts and culture.

Programme activities include drama, music, crafts and heritage, most of which take place in or nearby.

The programme includes one-off workshops and our weekly drama group, High Spirits: https://coherearts.org/home/high-spirits/

You don’t need to have any arts expertise, but an appreciation would be helpful. Our volunteers provide practical support enabling our workshops, rehearsals and visits to run smoothly and safely.

You will need:
- To be friendly, unflappable and flexible
- To attend our free training and induction
- To hold, or be willing to obtain an enhanced DBS certificate (we can sort this for you)
- To have a sense of humour
- To like dogs

We ❤️ the sunshine, but the beautiful space at John Peel centre is a great place to stay cool on a hot day.

Why not join us at John Peel Centre for Creative Arts tomorrow afternoon 2-3.30pm for a musical tour of Great Britain!

We'll be exploring music from a different country every Tuesday afternoon until 22nd July in our Musical Journeys workshops, produced in partnership with Orchestras Live.

Our workshops are aimed at older adults but all are welcome. There's no need to book, and we welcome an optional donation of £5.

Workshops include time to listen, reflect and make music together as well as chat to others over a cuppa.

The project has been made possible by funding from Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Councils.
