The Arena Theatre is a small-scale theatre with a great informal atmosphere for all visitors. It presents one the of the best and most diverse theatre programmes in the West Midlands, and the vast number of performances each year is populated with top-quality professional productions, local and amateur shows alike. We also house a number of University of Wolverhampton presentations and events. You are guaranteed a warm welcome and to find something you’ll enjoy.

Are you 15–21 and passionate about dance? Join Flexus Dance Collective for an exciting creative project where you'll collaborate with professional dance artists and live musicians to create bold new dance works inspired by powerful visual art.

In a supportive and encouraging environment, you'll:

✨ Develop your performance, choreographic and collaborative skills
✨ Build confidence, creativity and your own artistic voice
✨ Gain valuable mentoring and experience to support your dance training, studies and future creative ambitions
✨ Perform your work in Gallery, Theatre and Festival settings.

Joining us for our next 'Arena Nights' on 15th September...

‘Easy Money’ is a comedy spoken word show written and performed by Clive Oseman, in which Mickey Tipp, a popular writer well known to be dismissive of ghosts or any form of afterlife, is challenged to appear on a TV show, staying alone for a week under strict conditions in a reputedly haunted house for a fee of £20,000. He believes it will be the easiest money he will ever earn. But is it?

Clive Oseman is a widely published, multi-slam winning Brummie spoken word artist, humorist, satirist, storyteller, promoter and workshop facilitator with a liking for wordplay and the surreal and absurd, who has three times competed at the UK slam finals. He has headlined/featured at events and Festivals around the UK as well as in New York City, where he featured on the Blackbird Stage at the New York City poetry festival on Governors Island, and at the 5C conference Centre in Manhattan in 2022, and in Lisbon, Portugal at Good Company Bookshop in July 2025.

Previous one person shows Getting to know Elizabeth
(performed online only in the covid era) and What if they laugh at me?(performed nationally) were well received. His fifth book, “Dig This and Smile” a collection of his own brand of humorous poetry and prose, was published by Alien Buddha Press in September 2025. His next book is scheduled to be published in Spring 2027 with Poetic Edge Publishing.

Are You Even Indian? follows a British-born Indian woman and an Indian-born man who fall in love. There’s a meet-cute, wedding dances, Bollywood jokes and plans for a future together – but as their relationship deepens, questions of identity, culture and belonging begin to surface.

Which country is “home”? What language will their child speak? And who gets to decide what makes someone truly Indian? 💭
