𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐄𝐑 𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓!

We're delighted to be welcoming Carol J Forrester and her show, 'Stone Tongued', to the next instalment of Arena Nights! 🤩

More details below 👀

📆 Tuesday 16th June
🕢 7.30pm

The show is a mixture of poetry and history, built around the poems in my second collection 'Stone Tongued', and examining the historical women who feature in them. It looks at how women such as Johanna Ferrour become a historical footnote, overlooked and forgotten, while John Ball takes centre stage in histories on the Peasants Revolt. I talk about the way in which women rarely conform to our ideas of 'historical women' and how modern historians have been filling in the silences, but sometimes there isn't enough left for history to find a voice in the forgetting. That is where poetry steps in.

The show is essentially a poetry performance, and a history seminar merged together. Poetry and storytelling.

In partnership with Poets, Prattlers and Pandemonialists, we are delighted to present Arena Nights - an initiative celebrating ideas and emerging talent. Arena Nights will bring together a vibrant mix of performance, experimentation, and new work.

An invaluable day for the Creative Pioneers who took part in creative workshops & spoke to professional artists within the Creative Industries about their journeys, experiences, & career paths🔥

Thank you to all artists who joined us for the day & to Wolverhampton Art Gallery for the use of their beautiful space 🖤

We have a little bit of magic heading your way this weekend 🪄

Join Hudson & Hudson - who successfully fooled Penn & Teller - for Married at First Sleight! 🤩

★★★★ “two immensely engaging and talented performers” - Broadway Baby

📆 Saturday 23rd May
🕢 7.30pm
🎟 https://bit.ly/HudsonHudsonArena

Married at First Sleight is the hilarious, feel good magic show from a real-life couple who mix marriage, magic and mind-reading. Think tricks, twists, and the occasional tiff as this dynamic duo saw through illusions (and maybe each other) in a night of jaw-dropping magic and side-splitting comedy.

Hudson & Hudson have appeared on TV’s shows all around the world including Britain’s Got Talent, Penn & Teller: Fool Us, The Next Great Magician and more.

It’s equal parts rivalry, revelations and razor-sharp tricks that’ll leave you wondering what’s real… including their arguments.

Perfect for date nights, mate nights, and anyone who’s ever argued over the remote. It’s like couples therapy… if therapy involved more magic tricks and less talking.
