The Wednesfield Canal Festival will return to Bentley Bridge on:

📅 Saturday 7th & Sunday 8th August 2027

Boats, stalls, entertainment, activities and all the usual canal-side chaos will be back for another weekend. 🛥️🎶

⚓ A tip of the Harbour Master’s cap to Andy Tidy! 🎩

There’s always a huge amount going on behind the scenes to make Wednesfield Canal Festival happen.

This year, Andy Tidy from Jamboat stepped up to take on the very important (and entirely official-ish) role of Festival Harbour Master – putting together our mooring plan, helping organise the boats and making sure our traders were looked after throughout the weekend.

Naturally, such responsibility required a suitably formal ceremony, so we officially handed over the Harbour Master’s cap for the weekend. 🎩🫡

Ceremonial nonsense aside, Andy’s help made a real difference and took a big job off the Festival team’s hands.

A huge thank you to Harbour Master Andy for stepping up and keeping everything shipshape on the water. ⚓

We’ll expect the cap back before next year. 😉

Thanks so much for attending! We hope to see Wildside by water next year!

Despite not being able to take the Trebalisa down the 21 locks to be in the Wednesfield Canal Festival last weekend, it still turned out to be a great day. We had a land stall and managed to connect with many regular visitors to Wildside, as well as new folk who we look forward to welcoming in the future.
