Last night saw the last EVER Out of Time MOD night. The brainchild of Carl and Daz Auzins and Glyn Preece, starting in March 2014 and 35 events later bringing to the Newhampton Arts centre all of the TOP UK and European DJ’s and turned into one of the finest club nights in the UK over the last 8 years. The brilliance of Carl and Darren has undoubtedly given the club a big lift with their excellent social media skill, never used flyers, just the internet with clever videos highlighting the club in its finest and making it the place to go and be seen. The Newhampton was the perfect place with such a friendly and vibrant atmosphere. Plus all of the fantastic staff behind the scene who have always gone the extra mile to make the events go smoothly. The fantastic people in their saturday night finest attaire who have visited this event. Never the same night with each DJ bringing their own unique style and collections to the decks and always doing it their way, making each event individual. I have also had the pleasure and honour of working with my co-resident DJ Mr Glyn Preece, ultimate professional and a brilliant selection in every set and most of all just a great guy, thank you Glyn for our time behind the decks.
Last night was just the perfect end to our brilliant club nights. An absolutely packed to the rafters, steamy atmospheric and electric atmosphere with some of the most amazing people sharing some of the fantastic tunes served up by our TOP TOP guest DJs. Firstly Rob Coulman, wow TWO banging and floor packing sets which kept the floor SOLID for every well crafted and selected 45s Rob put on the decks. Promoters out there, PLEASE you really need to book Rob more often, an absolute Top DJ Thank you Rob. Our second guest young Jake Bonnici from Bromley London, making his guest appearance and boy he did not disappoint. Again TWO Unique sets mixing genres and again ramming the floor. Thank you buddy. Jake is an off the wall character and he rode his 1970's Chopper bicycle from his home to the Train station in London with his suit and box of records in his backpack and boarded the train to Wolverhampton. He then rode his chopper from the station to the Newhampton arts centre and displayed it in the foyer for a photo call for the evening. On the last record of the evening he rode his chopper onto the dance floor, how mad is that, what an ending.
All things come to an end and I have been so privileged to have been a small part of the Out Of Time story, I have met some wonderful people and made so many friends and I thank every one of you guys who have visited the club over the last 8 years and have shared in the success and memories of our humble little mod club in Wolverhampton. Out Of Time Mod Nights Job well DONE.
