Dear Friends, it is with real sadness that I have to announce that I have taken the decision to close the club. It has been a tough decision, but I am also of the firm belief that all things have a certain lifespan. I would like to thank Aidan and Georgina who helped us so much to start this adventure, all those people that came month in month out, purely out of the love of story and for no other reason. Thanks also to Bill for hosting us for 7 years at the Newhampton Inn. I am really proud that we were the first regular storytelling club in Wolverhampton, and I have other plans to promote storytelling and the spoken word in the area- as it's vital that we do! I hope we helped a few people to find a voice and have the confidence to share that voice. Finally thanks to all the sterling storytellers who guested for us over the years, the walls will echo with your superb stories, music, and poetry for many years to come! Thanks for all your support, big love Peter and all at the SW@N Club Wolverhampton.

Thanks to Amanda Smith for her show yesterday, a really nice set of story and song!! Also one of the best Selkie stories I've heard in many a year- very evocative and poignant! Try and catch her in and around the Midlands, as she's gigging in various venues. Peace PC

Ladies and Gentlemen Monday 4th March sees the return of The Biggest Liar in the World competition at the SWAN Club!! This brilliant event started off at our sister club Tales at the Edge waaay back in the 80's. So join us for a tall tale, monster blag, shaggy Dog story and see if you can be crowned Biggest Liar in the World. Entry by donation and all proceeds go to Comic Relief. Tales must be (STRICTLY) over 7 minutes long and under 12 minutes, and the winner will be voted upon by the audience. Hope you can join us, especially as the competition comes around every two years.
