🎶 WARM UP. LEVEL UP. 🎤

What better way to get the vocal cords moving than with a little UK garage-inspired vocal workout?! 😝

Here’s me, Elise Evans, working with the Performing Arts students at Wolverhampton College, warming up to Flowers by Sweet Female Attitude.

As we climb higher through the vocal range, we’re working on vocal agility, flexibility and range - adding those little runs as we go! 🎶⬆️

This funky warm-up was created by myself and my musical collaborator M Colley Music Tuition , combining vocal technique with plenty of energy, enthusiasm and FUN! 🙌

Because warming up doesn’t have to mean standing still and singing scales… 😉

It’s about preparing the voice, building confidence and getting into that performance mindset - with a healthy dose of passion along the way! 🔥

Well done Wolverhampton College - you guys smashed it! 🙌

Stomping feet. Huge harmonies. Big smiles. And everyone singing their hearts out together. This is Anthem Voices🔥

Because sometimes, being part of a choir feels like coming home.

It’s that feeling of belonging. Of walking into a room and knowing you’re part of something. Of being surrounded by people who share your passion, your enthusiasm and your love of music. 🎶

A place where you can leave the stresses of the day at the door, find your voice, have a laugh and simply enjoy being part of something bigger than yourself.

Because when being in a choir feels like coming home… you’ll always want to come back 🥹🎤

✨ AND WE’RE BACK! ✨

After a well-deserved summer break, it was an absolute joy to see the Anthem Voices family walking back through those doors tonight ❤️

The smiles. The laughter. The excitement. The energy. 🙌

There’s something really special about the start of a new term. Familiar faces, friends reuniting, and a room full of people who share the same enthusiasm, passion and love of music 🎶

Seeing so many happy faces arrive at rehearsal tonight was a reminder of exactly what Anthem Voices is all about. It’s not just the singing - it’s the community, the friendships and the joy we create together.

A new term starts now, and if tonight is anything to go by, we’re in for something pretty special. 👀✨

DOLLY 💔

Icons don’t come much bigger than Dolly Parton 🦋

Today, the world mourns the loss of one of the greatest songwriters, performers and storytellers to ever live. But for me, and for so many members of Anthem Voices, Dolly was so much more than that. She was an inspiration. A musical influence. A reminder that you can be unapologetically yourself, work hard, lift others up and still have a whole lot of fun along the way ✨

Back in 2022, we created this incredible mashup of two of Dolly’s most beautiful and iconic songs, Little Sparrow & Jolene. And watching it back today feels incredibly poignant 🙏

Dolly’s legacy isn’t just in the thousands of songs she leaves behind. It’s in the joy, kindness, generosity and love she spread throughout her extraordinary life ❤️

So this week, we’ll sing a little louder. We’ll spread a little more joy. We’ll be a little kinder.

And we’ll keep singing your songs, Dolly 🌟

Thank you for the music. Thank you for the inspiration. Thank you for showing the world that kindness is always in fashion.

Think you know Anthem Voices? 👀 Here are five things that make us who we are…

1️⃣ WE’RE A NON-AUDITIONED COMMUNITY CHOIR 🎶

Yep - there are no scary auditions when you join here! 🙌 We’re all about bringing people together through the joy of singing, regardless of previous experience. Just bring your voice, your enthusiasm and a love of music!

2️⃣ BLACK IS OUR COLOUR OF CHOICE! 🖤

We like our harmonies big… and our outfits BLACK! 😎 Our Anthem Voices uniform gives us that unmistakable look when we step onto the stage - because when 70+ singers walk out together, we like to make an entrance!

3️⃣ WE WELCOME SINGERS OF ALL ABILITIES ❤️

Whether you’ve been singing for years, you’ve never sung in a choir before, or you’re somewhere in between - there’s a place for you here. We believe everyone has a voice worth hearing and together those voices can create something pretty special. ✨

4️⃣ THREE VOCAL PARTS. ONE BIG SOUND. 🎤

We sing in three harmony parts - and our lower section is made up of both male AND lower female voices. That blend gives us the depth and richness that makes the Anthem Voices sound… well, Anthem Voices! 🔥

5️⃣ WE DON’T JUST STAND AND SING… 👀

We like to put on a SHOW! 🎭 From full choreography to simple but effective movement and staging, we believe a performance should be something you can see as well as hear. Because at Anthem Voices, we don’t just sing… we entertain! 🎤✨

There are some performance moments that just hit differently… and singing The Beatles in the heart of Liverpool, at the legendary Cavern Club, is definitely one of them ❤️🎸

Imagine walking through the Live Lounge entrance… hearing the music getting louder… and then turning the corner to find Anthem Voices belting out Come Together to a packed crowd! 🔥

THIS is why we love what we do.

We don’t just want to sing songs… we want to create moments. We want to entertain. We want to bring the energy, the atmosphere and the emotion of a live performance to every stage we step onto 🎤✨

And performing a Beatles classic in the very city where it all began? Pretty special 🥹
