Wombourne Music Festival

Wombourne Music Festival Every year the village of Wombourne hosts a week long music festival, featuring some of the best local and national talent.

The first Wombourne Music Festival was set up in 2009, the inspiration of the then newly appointed Director of Music, John Warren. The vision was to bring a variety of musical traditions to Wombourne, ranging from local talent, up and coming musicians to professional artistes of the very highest standards: from soloists and small groups to orchestras and choirs. In the subsequent years, the Festiv

al has gone from strength to strength, attracting the highest calibre of musicians and entertainers, and providing a fantastic week of music making. The Festival has a dedicated committee who organise the events and a new Director of Music, Joshua Xerri, under whose guidance it will continue evolve and flourish.
2017's Festival is being held in September, and will have some very exciting events on offer. From soloists to chamber groups, and of course, the spectacular Last Night of the Proms Gala Evening.
