Come and see the new exhibition featuring self-portraits by Sally Rowley as part of Asylum Alternative Art School’s [PRO]FILE project.
This exhibition captures a period of transition in Sally’s artistic practice with artworks inspired by Gustav Klimt and Frida Kahlo. Working in mixed media, ink and collage, Sally explored her personal experience of illness and medical treatment through a process of self-acceptance.
This is the second in a series of four exhibitions by artists who participated in the PROFILE programme, run by Asylum Art Gallery and SUIT, a non-profit Lived Experience Recovery Organisation focused on supporting individuals with a history of addiction. PROFILE provides mentoring, education and employment support.
