A wondeful morning as always at The Pines School today. We shared the story of Jack and the Jelly Beanstalk; building upon the children’s knowledge of the traditional tale of Jack and the Beanstalk. From the moment I arrived the children were keen to share with me examples of their work and learning that were displayed around the classroom. After their story, I gave them a gift of some runner bean plants and they could not wait to tell me all about their vegetable patch outside. They invited me to go and take a look with them before I went home and told me all about the strawberries, sunflowers and squash that they were growing. Thank you for having me in and I cannot wait to see you again after half term..

This past week 2 lovely schools, a fabulous nursery and a wonderful childminder have rebooked for next year for an annual package of Story Suitcases!

Thank you so much for inviting me in today Winnersh Primary School. Reception are beginning a brand new topic of Transport and so we opened up my story suitcase to discover the story of ‘The Hundred Decker Bus’
We learnt some BSL signs for different forms of transport along the way as the children shared their knowledge with me.

Half an hour spent researching for Story Suitcases!!!

Wonderful few days in London with my family to relax and recover from a short but jam packed Spring term.
Couldn’t resist a photo shoot with ole Will here! I just love this mural. It’s not too far from The Globe and when I waked past I noticed that the Deutche Bank production for young people this season is ‘Romeo and Juliet’.
In their own words ‘This action-packed, 90-minute version is created especially for young people and is the perfect introduction to Shakespeare for everyone.’

6 years ago today I ran my last Drama club before schools closed. I didn’t run a club again for over a year and wondered if TheatriKids would ever restart.

Thankfully it did and it changed and it’s grown and become my full time job and I couldn’t be more grateful.

I thought Covid was the end of TheatriKids but it was actually the making of it!
