UPDATE: HOW TO DONATE TO SUPPORT UKRAINE AND ITS PEOPLE.

The Reading Ukrainian Club currently has too many clothing donations and we need to pause collections for a short while.

If, like many others in Reading and the surrounding areas, you would like to show your support for Ukraine and its people during this difficult time, here are several things you can do:

If you already have a collection of items you wish to donate, the centre will be open on Saturday 5th March (10am-2pm) or please reach out to charities to check if they’re still able to handle your donation. Bedding and blankets, backpacks, camping mats, power banks for charging phones, torches and batteries, first aid kits and painkillers, warm clothing, toiletries and sanitary products, and baby essentials are needed most.

Otherwise, consider holding your own jumble sale in your local community to raise money for a cash donation.

Alternatively, charities will gratefully receive any monetary donations which they will use to purchase items needed to support people’s safety in Ukraine.
