🎨 Introducing Dana Sorokina

Dana’s textured oil paintings are created mainly using a palette knife, building layers of colour, movement, and depth directly onto the canvas.

The way the light catches each layer makes these pieces something you really need to see in person.

Framed in-house by our workshop team, they almost become sculptural objects rather than simply paintings.

🎨 Introducing Mark Monroe-Preston

Every piece by Mark is connected to the coordinates of a real location - blending dreamlike landscapes with places that truly exist.

Printed onto brushed aluminium, the work has an incredible depth and luminosity, with light catching each piece differently throughout the day.

The more time you spend with these pieces, the more details begin to emerge.

Pop by the gallery and experience them in person 👀

“We retain the sentimental value… but in a much higher quality form.”

This is what we love most about what we do.

Taking something that already means a lot - and elevating it into something you’re proud to display.

From sourcing higher-quality versions to carefully choosing the right frame and mount, every step is about getting it just right for our clients.

If you’ve got something that deserves a second life, we’d love to help. Send us a message today to find out more about our services 💬

Watch us dry mount this canvas in our framing centre at Holme Grange Craft Village 🎨

Dry mounting fixes the artwork to a rigid backing (in this case, MDF), helping it stay perfectly flat and giving a clean, polished finish.

It’s ideal for prints, posters, and decorative pieces where a smooth presentation really matters - though it’s not always suitable for every artwork, so we always advise on the best approach.

Everything is done in-house to ensure the highest quality result.

Have something you’d like framed? DM us or visit the framing centre.

Introducing one of our new artists, Kelly Anne 🎨

Kelly’s journey back to art is a special one. After originally specialising in sculpture and going on to teach art, it wasn’t until after having her three children that she rediscovered her passion for drawing - which has now become her full-time focus.

Alongside commissions and projects, Kelly illustrated a series of children’s books on neurodiversity - a passion project inspired by her own children.

Today, her pieces are inspired by the natural world - combining delicate watercolour florals with intricate pen work, bringing in birds, butterflies and insects to create movement, energy and life.

Every piece feels thoughtful, detailed and full of meaning.

Her work is now available in the gallery. Pop by and have a look, we’d love to show you her work in person!

From engineer… to artist… to gallery owner 🎨

Richard’s journey into art didn’t follow the usual path.

After discovering a love for painting as a child, life took him in a completely different direction, leading him to work abroad as an engineer for years.

It wasn’t until later, with time to pick up a brush again, that everything changed.

One painting sold…
Then another…

And slowly, art became something more.

What started as a small studio turned into a gallery built during lockdown - a space to connect with people, support artists and make art more accessible for everyone.

And that’s how R Young Art began.

Introducing these gorgeous pieces from Wokingham-based artist, Céline Gilart 🎨

Originally from France, Céline is a self-taught contemporary painter whose work is full of colour, texture and warmth.

Working mainly in acrylics, often layered with oil pastels, her pieces are inspired by everyday moments - from coastal
walks and quiet interiors to travel memories and the golden light of late afternoons.

Her current collection celebrates simple, joyful subjects:
– ripe fruit set against bold patterns
– fresh florals in full bloom
– and subtle nods to the sea

Pop by the gallery and have a look. We’d love to talk to you more about her work 🎨

How do our restorations actually work? Well, it depends on the piece.

For original artwork, restoration is carefully carried out by a specialist artist - repairing damage, restoring colour and bringing the piece back to life.

For photographs, we scan the original at high resolution, digitally repair tears, scratches and fading… then reproduce it to match (or even improve) the original quality.

The goal is always to preserve what matters, and make it last for years to come.

Got something damaged or faded? Send us a photo and we’ll walk you through how we can help 💬
