Wonderful endorsement from Michael Messer who is not part of the project directly, but who is certainly part of the lineage we're talking about. The legacy of the folk blues and beyond era, the teachers and influencing players who came before our current crop of younger musicians carrying it forward. From this Michael to Michael Roach, to Adam Franklin, Raphael Callaghan, Eddie Martin, Martin McNeil, Jim Crawford and more who are still very much out there for lovers of this music to appreciate.

Hats off to Raphael Callaghan, a veteran of the 60s British folk blues generation, who was a mate of Alexis Korner, played with Jo Ann Kelly amongst many of that era, and is still sliding his way around the Blues clubs today. Andy still playing his distinctive 1975 Fylde guitar. Was a pleasure to catch up with him at The Groundhog Blues Club, hear his evocative music, and hear more of the stories of his career. Which incredibly include in more recent times, appearing on stage with Bonnie Raitt, more than once, accompanying on Harmonica.
