We pride ourselves on putting on lively, great quality popular musicals and have tremendous fun doing so. Vale Royal Musical Theatre started its life as the Winsford & District Amateur Operatic Society in 1967/8. Our first production was performed Autumn of 1968 at the Winsford Civic Hall , and was the wonderful, Franz Lehar’s ‘The Merry Widow’. Our production was magnificent, and still lives f

ondly in the memory of those who saw it. Many more great shows followed, and in 1988/9 the ‘Winsford & District Amateur Operatic Society became the ‘Vale Royal Amateur Operatic Society‘, as the company wanted to cover other areas of Vale Royal. 2009 saw other changes and we became ‘Vale Royal Musical Theatre’. The reason for this change was that we were concerned that people could be thinking we put on Grand Opera rather than popular musical comedies. The other change we encountered in 2009 was the closing of the ‘Winsford Civic Hall’ a venue that is sadly missed by members as it had served us well for forty years, from our first show performed there in 1968 to our last; a show celebrating Forty Years as a company, aptly named ‘Forty Years and Proud of it’ . Since the closure of the Winsford Civic Hall we have been performing in a number of different venues such as the United Reformed Church in Winsford and the Winsford Lifestyle centre. We are now performing at the new Memorial Court Theatre in Northwich. We have a thriving junior group run by the talented Laura Sanderson, The juniors also put on some great shows. We run ourselves through a committee, which is made up of a very committed group of people from a range of ages and backgrounds. These people work very hard running the day to day business of the company. We always welcome new members (No audition required!) particularly male performers. Registered Charity Number: 1063054

We are very pleased to say our first read through of Jack OFF the Beanstalk last night was an absolute blast! 🤣🌱

The laughs started from page one, and if last night was anything to go by, this show is going to be packed with outrageous comedy, cheeky innuendo, fantastic music, and plenty of mischief! 🎭🎶

The best part? There's still time to get involved! Whether you've performed before or you're looking to try something completely different, we'd love to welcome you to the cast.

🎭 **CLOSING NIGHT!** 🎭

After three fantastic performances, tonight is the final chance for our sold out audience to see Bad Girls: The Musical at The Harlequin Theatre, 5pm! 💜

What an incredible few days it has been. We'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has joined us throughout the run. Your laughter, applause, and support have meant the world to our cast, crew, orchestra, and production team, and you've helped make this show one to remember. ✨

Our talented company are ready to give it everything they've got for one last unforgettable performance, packed with laughter, drama, and brilliant musical theatre. 🎶

A few important reminders before you arrive:

🚗 Please park thoughtfully and be considerate of our neighbours. If using the Farm Foods car park, please use the area to the left as you enter and park near the care home. Please do not park at Waitrose, as this is no longer permitted.

🌞 With the warm weather continuing, we'd recommend dressing appropriately and staying hydrated. Cold drinks and ice creams will be available throughout the evening.

If you've already seen the show, thank you for your support. For tonights sold out audience tonight is set to be a very special closing night.
