A thank you 💛
After nearly 9 years of our community club, I have made the decision to make this our last half term. It has not been an easy one to make as our community club has been a very special part of my life for so long.
Due to my health situation last year, I have made the decision to try and slow things down a little, and to spend more time with my family. As most people know, my full time profession is in teaching and Fancy Feet has always been a hobby as I love our community.
The next two weeks will be emotional I’m sure, but I am looking forward to showcasing the children’s work on Saturday 19th July. As from 1st September, we will continue to run as a community club offering holiday provision for any families who would like it.
We have scheduled a 3 day event in October half term, and 5 days events next Easter 2026 and summer 2026 💛
We will therefore be keeping our pages open, and will keep you updated with events we propose to run moving forwards.
I want to say a massive thank you to you all of our dancers and families for being part of our community club (past and present). It’s been a pleasure to know and work with your amazing children. Every child has made our club what it has been. And to my faithful volunteers over the years, particularly Katherine, Ciara, Sophie, Amy and Victoria, who have given up their time to help support our children.
We have been proud to be an inclusive club, and to have promoted our motto to help children believe in themselves on and off the stage. One of the most special parts of our club has been to make children feel that they belong, and are valued regardless of their ability. And to also feel proud of their community and to support events on our doorstep. 💛
We have had hundreds of children over the years develop their confidence and bravery on stage. We have had young leaders who have completed Duke of Edinburgh and gone on to study performing arts at college or university. We’ve had adult helpers who have secured positions in schools or other institutions that involve working with children. We’ve recieved many awards for our contributions to Winsford community- and we have loved every minute ✨
