Boston May Fair 2026 in Lincolnshire, UK, is one of England’s oldest, dating back over 900 years. The fair began around 1125, with stalls set up by monks in the St. Botolph’s churchyard, becoming a major trading point for wool. Its formal royal charter was granted in 1218.
Originally a massive medieval trading event for wool and luxury goods, like lots of charter fairs up and down the country it evolved into a modern fairground. NEW at this Fair for 2026 was Jamie Clark with his 'Tornado' Twist

Drawing No 121:
Coming soon (Almost complete and ready to release) .... I have scaled up this year's drawing of Knutsford Royal May Day from what was my last drawing of this famous Fair from what was size A3 to A2. This has allowed me to accommodate this year's star attraction... the mighty 'Skyfall' Drop Tower of Tom Mathew's (at 80 meters, one of the tallest in the UK and world) ....At A2 in size the drawing now includes all of the supporting Showmen's equipment (bar about two/three hoopla's) that were not included in my original A3 copy due to the size ...

All set up and ready to go at Boston (Lincolnshire) Fun Fair Model Show.... Here for the first time.... Pop along and say hello if you're in town today.... Looking forward to Boston Model Show 2026 this coming Saturday 9th May, a Fair that I have visited before, but never attended with my drawings.

The annual 'Boston Fair' is held on the town centre streets. The Boston May Fair is one of England’s oldest, dating back over 900 years to at least 1125, evolving from a medieval trading market into a modern town centre funfair. Traditionally opening with a royal charter proclamation in the Market Place, it historically served as a major European trading hub for wool and exotic goods.

Please call in, say hello and see my drawings for yourself. And during my visit I will be creating a plan to draw this year's Fair 2026...(My first time drawing Boston Fair) So if I'm not with my drawings, I will not be far away mapping out where all the attractions are.
