Saturday was the day for my first ever slate painting workshop at Castle Park Art Centre in Frodsham. What a lovely and talented group of ladies I had! We had a lovely friendly, positive and productive afternoon painting the most beautiful kingfishers on pieces of upcycled slate. I'm very proud of what everyone achieved and how much effort they put into creating truly unique works of art. 🎨👌🎨

Original Oil Painting Of a Tawny Owl, Wastwater Screes, Cumbria. The background was actually painted plein air from the front porch of YHA Wasdale, and the tawny owl painted in the following morning, due to lack of light! 7.5 by 9.5 inches, on a canvas board. £45 direct from myself, Lynsey Tyson, the artist. I have an oil painting class coming up on the 1st May...This is a perfect opportunity to try oil painting without investing in a load of expensive kit, but you probably will after you've tried it! 🎨

Some of my latest card designs are now being stocked by EcoGreen Equestrian Ltd and can be seen on their trade stand at BE events around the country. Everything is sustainably sourced from recycled materials where possible, including the repurposed canvasses and upcycled roof slates that I've painted the originals on. My cards can also be bought directly from myself and from the lovely Handleys Newsagents shop in Cuddington, near Northwich, Cheshire.
