Ten years ago today I took a leap of faith and started a small community choir and Community Rock was born. I’m not sure I could ever have imagined just how special that decision would become.

Over the years we’ve grown so much—not just in numbers, but in confidence, ability, and friendship. From those early days of learning simple three-part harmonies, to now tackling beautiful and sometimes quite complicated five-part harmonies, it has been incredible to watch everyone develop and grow.

But what makes this choir truly special isn’t just the music. Along the way we’ve become a close-knit family. We support one another, celebrate together, and lift each other up when it’s needed most. It’s become so much more than a choir—it’s a place to socialise, to make lasting friendships, and to belong.

I want to say a heartfelt thank you to every single person who has been part of this journey over the last decade. Whether you sang with us for a short time or have been there from the very beginning, you have helped shape what this choir is today.

Starting this choir is honestly one of the best things I’ve ever done, and I couldn’t be prouder of everything we’ve achieved together. Here’s to the music, the memories, the laughter, and many more years of singing together. 🎶
