Musical Bridges Celebration Concert - Stage 3

We are onto preparing for stage 3; the Musical Bridges Celebration Concert with Orchestras Live and Britten Sinfonia, (professional orchestra based in the Eastern Region) and those who take part in the workshops.

We have had fantastic attendance to the workshops we are excited to host the final event which is open to all to attend - please head to our website to book tickets.

There are two workshops left at Wingfield Barns and you are all more than welcome to join 21 Oct & 04 Nov 10.30-12pm - turn up and pay on the door.

Painted Purse Workshop

Immerse yourself in a relaxing 3-hour workshop with renowned leather artisan Rosanna Clare, creating your own hand-painted leather purse. Learn simple leather-painting techniques, practise on a small cable tidy, then decorate and assemble your pre-cut vegetable-tanned leather purse.

Personalise it with your name or initials for a unique finishing touch. Based in Wivenhoe, Essex, Rosanna has been designing, making and teaching leatherwork since 2015. She is the author of Sew Luxe Leather and has appeared on BBC’s Money for Nothing.

Set in the beautiful surroundings of Wingfield Barns, this is a perfect creative afternoon with friends—or a unique birthday experience.

Gary will share remarkable stories of the war and the local people whose lives were shaped by it, bringing history to life through the objects that have survived.

The Lover & Landscape: An Evening of Harold Pinter performed by Open Space Theatre

We are delighted to welcome back Open Space Theatre to perform at Wingfield Barns; Harold Pinter’s The Lover also featuring Landscape in an evening of Harold Pinter Plays.

‘Before leaving for work, a man wishes his wife well for the planned visit of her lover during the afternoon. It is a long-term arrangement which apparently leaves the husband free to see his mistress.

But is it? All is not as it seems in Pinter’s hilarious and quirky comedy of marital capers. Also, on the bill during an evening with Pinter is Landscape, the playwright’s classic study of the failure of communication between a man and a woman.’
