Situated on the eastern shore of Windermere, our outdoor
adventure centre is the perfect place to discover the Lake
District and take part in action-packed exciting activities! We welcome your comments, good or bad, but we have a few basic rules we ask you to stick to when using the page. Please don’t use bad language or post anything that’s offensive, abusive, deceptive, defamatory, aggressive, i

Saturday Sailing sessions are coming to Windermere! ⛵🌊

Looking for an exciting way for your child to get out on the water, learn new skills and have some fun? Our Saturday Sailing Sessions are back! 🙌

📅 Every Saturday – 12th September to 24th October
⏰ 9.30am-12.30pm
⛵ 7 weeks of sailing, skills & fun!
💷 £150 per person for all seven weeks
👧🧒 For ages 8+

Whether they're new to sailing or looking to build their confidence and skills, it's a fantastic opportunity to get outdoors and enjoy beautiful Windermere.

💦🌊 SPLASH SESSIONS ARE BACK THIS SUMMER! 🌊💦

Looking for a fun and exciting way to keep the kids active this summer?

Join us at Windermere Outdoor Adventure Centre for our Splash Sessions – a three-hour adventure packed with water-based fun, games, and activities, all while learning vital water safety skills through the Swim Safe programme.

📅 Session Dates:
• 23rd July
• 6th August
• 20th August
• 3rd September

🕐 Time: 1pm – 4pm
👧🧒 Ages: 6–15 years
Price: £15pp

Our Splash Sessions are all about having fun on and around the water while helping young people understand how to stay safe when visiting lakes, rivers, beaches, and other open water environments.

Activities may include:

💦 Water games and challenges
🏊 Swim Safe activities
🛟 Learning the "Float to Live" technique
🤝 What to do if someone needs help in the water
😃 Plenty of fun and splashing along the way!

We believe the best learning happens when children are having fun, so our aim is to deliver an unforgettable afternoon while sharing potentially life-saving water safety knowledge.

A huge well done to James Watts on completing the Windermere Marathon! 🏅

James took on the full 26.2-mile challenge around the beautiful Lake District course in Windermere, Cumbria, England and crossed the finish line in an excellent time of 4 hours 45 minutes. A fantastic achievement on a tough and demanding route.

As Head of Centre, James is used to supporting and leading others - so it’s great to see him setting such a strong example of commitment, resilience, and determination himself.

We’re all really proud of this achievement. Well done, James! 👏
