A week ago today Botanica Council voted YES to Gnome Rights and we expect this to be ratified by Boomtown Hall soon, now that we've reconciled our differences.

Were you there at this historic moment?

This public information message is brought to you by The Regional Manager of the Botanica Garden Centre and is in no way affiliated with Boomtown Hall who would have probably refused to pay for it anyway.

We look forward to seeing you all very soon! (Please note the Garden Centre will be closed for a private event from 5:30 until 7pm on Saturday of Boomtown Fair.)

Respect yourselves.
Respect the city.
Respect gnomes.

In 3 weeks we open the doors of the The Garden Centre once again at Boomtown for The Regional Manager's annual staff morale and networking party. To get you in the mood, listen back to the mixes from last year's show on the SoundCloud of our musical curators: Deevstock ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿ•บ

See you there petals!

The Three Sisters ๐Ÿซ›๐ŸŒฝ๐Ÿฅ’ - an ancient method of companion planting, using peas/legumes, squash and corn. This method is a great way to grow a lot of food in a very small space, as well as maximising efficient water usage.

The three sisters are: Legumes (e.g. peas or mange tout), Corn and Squash. The corn will grow upright and provide a sturdy frame for the legumes to hold on to as they grow alongside it, and this leaves lots of ground space for expanding runners of squash plants to spread and grow. In this video, you see us using a frame to support our peas, but next year weโ€™re going to experiment with different varieties of legume that'll work a bit better with the corn.

Working together makes us all stronger ๐ŸŒฑ ๐Ÿ’ชโœจ

Be sure to visit us this year. We have seeds, implements and gnomes! Always service with a smile at the Garden Centre.
