🎉 ClueCapers is 10!

It’s 10 years since our very first paying customers stepped into a ClueCapers escape game!

Since then we’ve welcomed thousands of players — many of whom have returned for every new adventure — worked with countless brilliant hosts (gamesmasters), and collaborated with some truly special people.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of the journey: those who played, laughed, solved puzzles, supported us behind the scenes, and written the lovely reviews we’re so proud of.

ClueCapers began when Kate, in a slightly foolish fit of optimism, thought that growing children might allow time for “a bit of a challenge”… and promptly got carried away creating strange interactive puzzles that could only exist in parallel universes. Most of those rooms and puzzles would never have come to life without the indefatigable support of Adrian — and the next generation of would-be engineers - quite the family enterprise!

A particular shout-out to Kate’s amazing and supportive right-hand people: Craig and Tabi.

This month marks 10 years of puzzles, mysteries and escape game adventures at ClueCapers, so we’ve created something special to celebrate…

🗺 A brand-new Armchair Treasure Hunt — with a prize draw!

Here’s how it works:
✔ Purchase your treasure map (printed & posted or digital download)
✔ Solve 8 puzzles
✔ Discover 8 Wi******er locations
✔ Work out where they all converge
✔ Answer one final question

This isn’t a hunt you complete in person — you’ll need your wits, lateral thinking, and a little help from the internet to crack it from home.

🏆 Submit the correct final answer by 31 March and you’ll be entered into a draw to win a ClueCapers escape game for up to 6 people.

This Christmas, our festive pop-up escape game - Sleigh Bells & Sabotage! - helped raise over £1,700 for Dementia Support from the wonderful people at St John's Wi******er.

A (slightly belated!) THANK YOU to everyone who joined us on Southgate Street to identify the pesky pixie. Every single booking generated a donation of at least £12 towards supporting people living with dementia and their families — hurrah!

The elves (and the pixie!) have now packed away Santa’s spare sleigh after plenty of festive mischief… but we’re hoping to pop up again somewhere in Wi******er later this year with a brand-new mission 👀🛷

In the meantime, ClueCapers continues the adventure with our quirky escape rooms at our established venue on The Broadway, plus our outdoor games are ready whenever you are.
