I made it onto the shortlist of the international Art 500 prize! Not only does that give me a wonderful feeling, mentoring sessions, and a year as highlighted artist at the VAA, but I am in with a chance to get into the coffee table book, get a a free membership next year, a free training course and loads more! So please keep your fingers crossed. That would be an amazing boost. If you are an artist and not yet a member of the VAA, go to their website. They are definitely worth it.

My latest mosaic is complete, sadly at a very fitting moment: The .independent is one of a number of newspapers reporting on the current and biggest coral bleaching event we have seen so far, due to warmer oceans. The mosaic represents that process in 4 out of five graphs, three representing temperature, one PH level changes, and a cardiac arrest for comparison. The colours within them represent the stages of alarm, with the neon second colour a final cry for help, and the white showing the bleached skeleton. It can be seen for May. A percentage of the asking price will be donated to .

The background still needs its layer of blue gradations, but I am finally putting down my tesserae. Will I get it done and dried in time to hang it next Thursday in preparation for our exhibition ? (No frame) , the little stumps that join two of the lines on the right are you. After you have planted the corals you have successfully grown with your donations, they are here planted into the dead or dying reef, to revive it.

My first outward facing event of the year. After an autumn and winter that were just a little too interesting, I am very excited to have been invited to the annual springtime group exhibition of the Four Seasons Art Group. I will be bringing my own approach to the subject matter as I join .barbara .scott.39948 Hilary Tratt, Jake McGivern, .paintbox, Mariana Kneller, Keith Pattison, and Richard Tratt. The exhibition will be with its glorious woods, gardens, and river walk.
