Introducing our Food & Drink Traders for WOH ‘26 🍽️

Food has always been one of the key building blocks of community.

From family recipes passed down through generations to new flavours discovered with friends, sharing food is a huge part of what makes We Out Here feel like home.

Our 2026 food and drink lineup brings together returning favourites, exciting new arrivals, local Dorset businesses, affordable meal options and traders from refugee backgrounds supported through our partnership with TERN. Every trader has been chosen for the care, craft and passion they bring to feeding our community.

You can now explore every trader on our website, including menus, dietary information and whether they are local to Dorset or offer affordable and children’s meal options, making it easier than ever to discover what’s on offer this summer.

Start planning your festival feasts and get to know the people behind the food.

Celebrating 35 years of Tomorrow’s Warriors 🧡

Every year  Tomorrow’s Warriors brings down their wonderful community of artists and crew.  Their tent showcases some of the most exciting emerging acts rising up through their community.

“At We Out Here, Tomorrow’s Warriors doesn’t sit on the margins of a bigger programme. Instead, it sits at the heart of the festival’s mission. The Tomorrow’s Warriors Big Top becomes more than a stage – it’s a statement. A visible, audible commitment to future generations and to the idea that education, experimentation, and joy can exist side by side!” Gilles Peterson

Made In Glasgow’; It Takes A Village with corto.alto ❤️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

For this episode of our WWFM series, corto.alto takes to the airwaves ahead of August with a snapshot of some of his favourite music coming out of Scotland right now. A celebration of the artists, friendships, and creative communities that continue to shape one of the country’s most vibrant musical ecosystems.

The project of multi-instrumentalist, producer, composer, and performer Liam Shortall, corto.alto has become one of the defining voices of a new generation of UK crossover jazz. Rooted in Glasgow’s fertile music scene, his work draws freely from jazz, hip hop, soul, broken beat, folk, and electronic music, blurring genres while remaining deeply connected to collaboration and collective creativity.

Featuring music from friends, peers, and long time collaborators alongside a selection of his own work, the show reflects the spirit of a scene built on mutual support. Musicians playing on each other’s records, sharing ideas, showing up for one another, and helping push things forward together.

WOH Radio 2026: ‘It Takes A Village’ 🩷

This year we asked presenters to be guided by the theme “It Takes A Village”. A phrase that speaks to the collective effort behind creation, care and culture. It reflects the reality of We Out Here itself, a festival built by many hands, voices and shared intentions, coming together to create something that only exists because of that collectiveness.

At its heart, this theme is about community as both a necessity and a strength. In a world shaped by uncertainty, technological acceleration and global conflict, the idea of the village offers a solution focused perspective. It asks us to look not only at what we are facing, but how we come together in response.

Music, radio and culture have always been built this way. Scenes do not appear in isolation. Artists are not created alone. Movements are shaped by networks of people, from mentors and peers to organisers, archivists, broadcasters and listeners. It takes a village to build a sound, a scene, a lineage and a future,

Our WOH Radio lineup touches all the sonic corners of WOH, join us in the fields or tune in worldwide ☀️🎵

‘Reflections & Revolutions’; It Takes A Village with Gary Bartz 🎷

For this next episode of our WWFM series, legendary saxophonist Gary Bartz leads us on a journey across his career, reflecting on the influences, moments, and music that make up his life. Comprised of interview extracts recorded remotely, the show offers a rare insight into the experiences and ideas behind one of the music’s most enduring voices.

A towering figure in modern jazz, Bartz has spent more than six decades shaping the music while remaining deeply connected to Black American musical heritage. From his formative years alongside Max Roach, Charles Mingus, Art Blakey, and Miles Davis, to his own landmark recordings and enduring influence on contemporary artists, his career traces a remarkable journey through jazz history.
