I've had to accept that this is a failed experiment. I'll therefore no longer be hosting this at the Taphouse.

Thank you to all of you who have turned up tp play over the last four months. You made some great music.

Ordinarily, we would expect the enxt Tap & Play to be on 10th April, but it's Bank Holiday Monday, and I have agreed with Gemma, that it may prove difficult to combine the two. So we'll move it for this month to the 4th Monday, which will be 24th April. I'll create a fb event as soon as I have time. I think we'll probably have to do the same in May to avoid the Bank Holiday of the Coronation weekend.

So please don't turn up on Monday 10th April with your guitars. Just pop into the Taphouse for a drink.

Come along to The Taphouse in West Borough, Wimborne at 8pm on Monday 13th March for the inaugural night of a new monthly event. Hosted by Paul Thomas, it's a come along and play evening. Or, of course, you can just come along and listen. It's purely acoustic and most suitable for solo acts or duos. Please don't bring electric instruments.

Each act will be given a 15 minute slot, and there are no restrictions as to what they play. Indeed, it doesn't really have to be music. We're happy to host poetry readings or comedy.

I'm afraid, you can't prebook your slot. They will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

We can't guarantee quiet in the whole pub, but we hope that this won't deter anybody.

This is the first of, we hope, many such evenings. We are happy to receive feedback from participants about any aspect of the evening. The format is experimental, and we expect it to evolve over the coming months. We hope you will join us and have a great evening at the brilliant Taphouse.

We plan to allow each performer a 15 minute slot. The first slot will be at 8:15pm. The last will start at 10:15pm. The host will always start with a slot at 8pm. It works on a first come, first served basis. You must register for your slot with the MC, Paul Thomas. You will be warned when you have 1 song left. You must have removed yourself from the playing area before your slot ends, so choose your last song carefully!

After all 10 performers have performed, the MC will choose enough acts to perform one more song until closing time at 11pm, or, if there is the desire and enough participants we may have a jam session until closing time.
