Archie Gascoyne-Williams would have been heir to an Earldom, had his mother not married beneath her station.

Archie, however, never lets a little thing like that stop him from getting what he wants, which is why he hatches a plan to get to the top of the family tree. But that kind of work, well, it can be murder: six of them in fact!

A play adapted for stage by Derek Web, from the novel by Roy Horniman, upon which the Ealing Comedy was based.

Directed by Michelle Barter, an amateur production by arrangement with Stagescripts Ltd.

AND THEN it was all over! We have had a wonderful time creating this fantastic whodunnit by Agatha Christie, and we hope our audiences enjoyed it too. Thank you to everyone who supports Wimborne Drama, we really do appreciate it, without the audience turnout we wouldn’t get to have the fun we do! A huge thanks also to the tech team at the Tivoli Theatre for their expertise backstage and the staff and volunteers who work hard to keep the theatre going.

Ten people arrive at an isolated house on Soldier Island, just off the Devon coast. Two servants and eight guests, including a South African millionaire, a Judge and a retired General. It all seems idyllic apart from the fact that their hosts haven’t arrived yet. They start to get settled in for the weekend when suddenly a disembodied voice addresses each of them by name and accuses them of the murder of a named individual. There is no phone on the island and no means of escape. Then people start dying. A thunderstorm adds to the tension. Is there a killer loose on the island or is something more sinister going on? Will any of them survive?
