Another memory from 2023 when I was painting in Lake Como as one of 20 artists. This my Cloudscape including The World Heritage site of the Sanctuario del Beata Virginie del Soccorso, a church on the side of the hill with 14 chapels leading up to it.

I was lucky to get a place as one of 20 artists supported by Gurr Johns Gallery, London. This is a detail from an oil of the gardens on Villa Bellagio...sold at the exhibition at Gurr Johns.

Summer days! Raking up grasses at the bottom of my garden but have left the wooden fence out as I wanted the eye to be able to travel to the horizon.
The countryside looks like a savannah after such a long period without rain

Italia, one of my favorite places to paint!

A return to Italy after several years feels like a return to my artistic roots. This is a landscape of a view across the foothills of the Monti Sibillini, a part of the Appenine chain running the length of the Italian mainland. Lots more progress needed.

This was my original sketch of the Owl hole in the Lake at Badminton. Unfortunately on handing in I was told that the fence was going to be "greened up" so I turned it into the version I posted earlier. As it so happens, it looks exactly like this!! Not greened up after all!!
