How completely different are the woods when the trees are naked to how they’ll be in just a month or twos time… however dark and grey these days are now how quickly things can change!
I love trees at this moment in time, getting ready to bud, natures beautiful sculptures. Xx

The beautiful natural soft colours up on top of the plain….
This is actually a detail of painting I started in the winter, on a cold, crisp morning, a world away from the hot parched summer landscape! Though equally inspiring.

Having not posted for a while (as I’ve been working on a BIG commission) I thought I’d post my first lock down painting.

It signifies a huge turning point in my life for so many reasons and also the incredible weather we had then, which has at last returned!

The uplifting effect of light never ceases to amaze me!
