BSL only tours (10. 30 or 13.00) and

BSL with an interpreter (15.30); suitable for early BSL learners.

Join either Martin's tours and spend the day at the cool park!

Morning: a BSL tour onto the amazing exhibition of 'Hold to This Earth'. (notice that it is conducted in BSL only)

Discover and learn British Sign Language (BSL) for the nature at YSP on our Signs of the Landscape: British Sign Language Walk on Sat 12 Sept.

The walk, designed for the hearing community interested in learning BSL, will be led by Martin Glover, a d/Deaf BSL user, architect, and art facilitator and will be supported by an interpreter.

The same day, BSL users can join us and Martin for a British Sign Language sculpture tour of the powerful Hold to This Earth exhibition in the Underground Gallery and the surrounding outdoor works. Moving through the gallery, BSL users will discover more about the 38 incredible artists featured in the exhibition and their work.

Join us for a dedicated British Sign Language (BSL) tour of the house, led by art guide and BSL user, Martin Glover, last one this year.

This 1.5-hour tour (easily extended to 2-3 hr as previously!!) is delivered entirely in BSL, with no spoken English. It is designed for Deaf visitors and BSL users only.

Martin will guide the group through key rooms and spaces, sharing insights into the history of the house, significant artworks and architectural features. The tour encourages shared exploration of the space.

Please meet at the house, North Gates at 10.45am (pictured). The tour will leave promptly at 11am. Latecomers will not be admitted.

BSL tour: Nomenclature for the Time Being
Tuesday 18th August 2026, 7pm
Raven Row Gallery, (near Liverpool Street Station)

Join Martin Glover for his insights of the exhibition. It involves 13 artists whose practices span sculpture, performance, writing, photography and video. However, this is very much a sculpture show, with always with an awareness of the ‘body’.

BSL Tour: FAREWELL SWEET INNOCENCE

Join Martin Glover, a BSL (British Sign Language) user, on a free guided tour of Simeon Barclay’s exhibition Farewell Sweet Innocence.

Farewell Sweet Innocence examines how domestic objects, memory, and identity intersect with wider systems of culture, aspiration, and display.
Martin is a Deaf Architect and an established BSL facilitator for galleries and museums. After the tour, Martin will lead a creative workshop inspired by the exhibition.

Refreshments will be provided.
