After the disappointment of Rachel Sermanni's cancellation, we're looking ahead to our next night of live folk at the John Peel Theatre.

On Friday 11 September, we're delighted to welcome Holly Clarke to Wigton for what promises to be a truly special evening.

Holly is a powerful singer and accomplished guitarist who brings traditional folk songs and ballads vividly to life. Her performances draw you right into the stories, from ancient tales and folklore to songs of love, loss and everything in between.

⚠️ EVENT CANCELLED: The Cavern Beat Club starring The Fabs ⚠️

We’re sorry to announce that The Cavern Beat Club starring The Fabs, scheduled for Saturday 5th September at the John Peel Theatre, has been cancelled.

The decision to cancel the event has been made by the event promoter due to low advance ticket sales.

We know that some of you were looking forward to this evening of classic 1960s music, and we’re sorry for the disappointment.

If you have already purchased tickets, you will be contacted directly with information about your refund.

We’d like to thank everyone who had booked tickets and supported the event.

We continue to have a great programme of theatre and live music coming up at the John Peel Theatre, and we hope to welcome you back soon.

⚠️ IMPORTANT UPDATE: RACHEL SERMANNI CONCERT ⚠️

We are very sorry to let you know that Rachel Sermanni's concert at the John Peel Theatre, scheduled for tomorrow night, Thursday 27 August, will NOT now go ahead.

Rachel is unfortunately suffering from tonsillitis and, on medical advice, is not well enough to perform. This is completely outside the theatre's control, and we are incredibly disappointed that the concert cannot take place as planned.

We’re very sorry that Rachel is unwell and wish her a speedy recovery. ❤️

We have been working with Rachel's agents and have provisionally arranged a new date:

📍 John Peel Theatre, Wigton

We are now contacting everyone who has bought tickets to ask whether they would be able to attend the new date.

🎟 If you have already booked tickets, PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL from the John Peel Theatre and respond to us as soon as possible to let us know whether you would like your tickets transferred to 24 September or would prefer a full refund.

We need to hear from ticket holders quickly so that we can establish whether the rescheduled concert can go ahead.

If you were planning to come along tomorrow without a ticket, please do not travel to the theatre. The concert will not be taking place tomorrow night.

We are incredibly sorry for the disappointment and inconvenience this will cause. We know many of you were looking forward to seeing Rachel, and we really hope we can welcome you to the rescheduled concert in September.
