It's a scorcher outside, but it's lovely and cool in the shop!
These are the last few mosaic pieces remaining from my previous collection before a whole new range starts emerging from my cool little workshop area.
While everyone else has been melting, I've been happily cutting tiles, choosing charms and creating new celestial-inspired designs. 🌙✨

🔨 SHOP ASSISTANT WANTED – HANDYMAN STORES, STANDISH 🔨

We’re looking for a friendly, reliable and knowledgeable Shop Assistant to join our growing independent store in Standish.

If you have good DIY knowledge and enjoy helping customers, we’d love to hear from you.

What you’ll be doing:

✔ Serving and assisting customers
✔ Advising customers on a wide range of products including tools, hardware, plumbing, timber, doors, fixings and general home improvement supplies
✔ Supporting both trade account customers and DIY homeowners
✔ Replenishing stock and merchandising displays
✔ Helping keep the store tidy, organised and well presented

What we’re looking for:

✅ Good DIY knowledge is essential
✅ Knowledge of tools, hardware, plumbing, timber, fixings or general building products would be an advantage
✅ Friendly and approachable manner
✅ Excellent customer service skills
✅ Reliable and hardworking attitude

⭐ DIY knowledge is more important than retail experience ⭐

Hours:

📅 Monday to Friday: 7:30am – 5:30pm (with one weekday off)
📅 Sunday: 9:00am – 3:00pm

The position is available as a full-time role, but we would also consider splitting the hours between two part-time applicants.

This role could suit:

🔹 Someone with DIY, hardware or builders’ merchant experience
🔹 A tradesperson looking for a change of pace
🔹 A semi-retired tradesperson or DIY enthusiast wanting to share their knowledge and stay active
