Some Other Preachers

New tunage. Finally released after laying dormant for a good while. I had a lot of fun (and some frustration at times 🫤) writing and producing this track. The video editing is great for escapism also. The lyrics are based on a rock night in Manchester, at Jilly's.

Guitars, bass, drums and vocals...
What more dya want/need? 😉 x

This our latest release: 'Oxford Road'.
The riff came from an Epiphone Custom SG. As soon as I opened the box and played it, this riff came immediately. Lee wrote some meaningful and nostalgic lyrics about a rock night he used to frequent in Manchester. Delivered with conviction.

Some more, fresh new music...coming soon.
Well, tomorrow probably, at some point.

It's basically 12 bar blues played like RATM and Chili's, with a 70s classic rock vibe. Massive.

It's decent. Watch this space.

Here's our latest release: Breakout. As straightforward as the track may sound, it was a difficult one to complete; as without vocals or a lead guitar part, it sounded very much like something Malcolm or Angus would've written. Once Lee had laid down his vocals though, it dawned on me to try something a little different, something that Johnny Marr might add. So, I put a capo high up (7th fret I think, I honestly can't remember 🤷🏻‍♂️), played in his style and added a chorus effect. Suddenly, we had an original (ish) track. And I'm very proud of it. It was written and made in Wigan, last year. The video is a walk down a ginnel in Hockeril, Bishop's Stortford.
