i came accross all my old wigan music venue flyers the other day whch promted me to do a bit of googling and was surprised to see very little about this great venue.Thought this page could be a good way to share a few stories and reconnect with the bands and punters of this, and other north west venues, around at this amazing time for the Wigan music scene.

We started selling records at our original Hindley premises around 1985 moving to Wigan in 1987, first to Market St/Petticote Lane then Hallgate and finally to Mesnes St in May 1992. As we concentrated more on other aspects of our business we stopped selling records around 2000. All our stock was boxed up and is still intact. After the piece about Record Store Day in The Guardian and all the overwhelming feedback I had the idea to open up for a month (NOW JUST 10 DAYS) at 53 Mesnes St with our original till, record deck, posters and even staff! It was amazing and my thanks go out to the many people who helped and came down.
