Announcing ThickSkin’s Creative Movement workshops for people age 60+ in Wigan.

We’re looking for Wiganers to take part in our brand-new FREE workshops for people over 60 at The Engine Room.

Led by ThickSkin’s Artistic Director and Generator graduates, these sessions invite you to explore movement and creativity in new ways – reimagining what it means to grow older.

This is about curiosity, creativity, and giving it a go in a fun, friendly environment. No dance or drama experience required. Through imaginative physical theatre exercises, you’ll build confidence, discover new ways to move and express yourself, and connect with others in a welcoming, social space.

Expect laughter. Expect movement. Expect to surprise yourself.

FULL - An exploration into a dystopian future

Are you a mixed race / heritage artist based in Greater Manchester? This is for you.

A free, day-long workshop at exploring the themes of FULL, a new play by Danielle Henry. You’ll gain insight into her creative practice and respond to the work alongside other artists.

The play follows the story of three mixed race women as they navigate a dystopian future that no longer has a place for them. When a community is marginalised, it invites the audience to ask, ‘who is to blame for this’?

Led by ThickSkin Supported Artist and writer Danielle Henry, and director (both artists of dual heritage), this workshop is a space to explore, create, and share ideas using the play as a starting point.
