Whitstable Folk Club Whitstable Folk Club Meets in the back room of the Whitstable Social Club, Belmont Road, Whitstable on the last Friday of each month.

Doors open at 7.00 for a 7.30pm start. We have an entrance fee of £3.00 each person, cash only please. Whitstable Folk Club has a singaround format with a feature guest every other month. The guest is included in the singaround but with an extended spot. It's all very informal and we welcome all comers to sing, play, dance or just watch/listen. We have an entrance fee for of just £3.00 at the door

for all. We meet at Whitstable Social Club, Belmont Road, Whitstable and enjoy the benefits of lower cost real ales and extended opening hours. Quite often our folk nights have '3 halves'.

Hello Whitstable Folk
Well it certainly has cooled down but sometimes I already miss the heat of the sun. I did go down to have a swim yesterday morning although there was a bit of a nip in the air. High tide was 9.30 am and I can usually get a decent swim about an hour either side from my beach hut on west beach. Well …. At about 9am I waded out about half way to Sheppey and the water was only up to just above my knees. Huh very low tide!! So I just had a waddle (cross between wade and paddle) and then went home.
This weekend we have a double bill. Friday night is singers night so get your voices and instruments tuned up - and then on bank holiday Monday it is the August Showcase. Friday is normal 7pm for 7.30 start and Monday 31st is 2 - 5pm in the garden if the weather is kind to us, or in the back room if not. Either way it should be a great musical weekend.

Fabulous evening yesterday with Sue Hudson and Ian Petrie at the Divers Arms folk night. Another free live music event by Herne Bay Folk Promotions.
