*Procession stewards needed!!*
Stewards are a vital part of the Jack-in-the-Green celebrations, helping to keep the procession safe and moving to schedule. Can you help us by doing this role?
You will need to be over 18 years old, reliable, and physically able to walk the whole length of the route from the library to the castle, sometimes moving up and down the procession to convey messages from one end to the other. You don’t need any experience in doing this kind of job, though it’s very welcome if you do. You’ll need to be comfortable taking instructions from the Events manager and conveying them to the dancers and musicians in an efficient and clear way.
Most importantly, you will need to be free and able to be in Whitstable on Monday 4th May from around 9am until around 3pm. It’s a really fun job and we’ll provide all the training you need, a hi-vis vest, and fish & chips at the end!
