🌿💚 A fantastic achievement for our community at the Brierdene! 💚🌿

As you know we’re incredibly proud to have been awarded Green Flag status — recognition that celebrates not just the beautiful nature and wildlife on our doorstep, but the people who make this place such a special part of our community.

The judges had particular praise for us, recognising Friends of Brierdene as an integral and important part of the local community” and highlighting the way their work brings people together, creates opportunities to enjoy nature and provides a real sense of community focus and connection.

They described the Brierdene as an “exceptional Green Flag site.”

That’s something everyone who lives nearby can be proud of. From volunteers giving their time, to local residents enjoying the paths and wildlife, community groups coming together and families making memories — Brierdene belongs to all of us.

This award is a wonderful recognition of what can happen when a community cares about its local environment and works together to protect and improve it.
