Dance Kaleidoscope is a pre-professional training company for aspiring dancers. Based in Whitley Bay, it is a registered charity (Registered Charity Number 516104) which performs shows in and around the local area as well as undertaking biannual overseas tours. Since its inception in 1964 Dance Kaleidoscope have visited every country in Europe, parts of the Middle East and also the U.S.A. As well

as giving young dancers the opportunity to partake in the performance of these shows the company also teaches its dancers many other skills such as prop creation; costume alteration; and how to use lighting and sound equipment. The company performs a Kaleidoscope of dance styles including ballet; modern jazz; tap; traditional English folk; highland and many more.
