Congratulations to Mia and Leah on passing their Associate Teaching Diplomas with the UKA Dance.
Mia successfully gained her Associate in Classical Ballet, while Leah achieved her Associate in Freestyle. Both students received excellent reports from their examiners, Margaret Quick and Angela Miles-Parkinson.
This marks Mia’s second Associate qualification, having already gained her Freestyle Teachers Associate last year. For Leah, this is her first Associate qualification with UKA Dance.
The examinations were extensive and consisted of a full written portfolio in their chosen subject, covering choreography, warm-up and cool-down techniques, musical knowledge, anatomy, definitions and terminology of steps, lesson planning, as well as a full practical examination.
Principal Julia Trillo-Howard commented:
“Both students have worked incredibly hard in preparing for their teaching qualifications. They have been pupils at BSA Whitby since they were very young, and I am so proud of their dedication to dance and to BSA. Both are truly deserving of their success, and I wish them every success for the future.”
This is a fantastic achievement for both students and a testament to their commitment, passion, and hard work. Congratulations to Mia and Leah on this well-deserved success.
