There’s something quietly magical about hollow forms 🤍

I’ve been exploring the hollow ball shapes — each ball shaped slowly by hand, left hollow inside, light despite the earthy clay they come from.

I love the contrast…
the dark, rustic body beneath soft, airy patterns 🌿
little moments of nature wrapped around something so simple

Right now they feel like ornaments — something you’d hang, hold, or place gently in a space.
But I keep wondering… what else could they become?

• seasonal decorations?
• sculptural pieces for the home?
• scent holders with a drop of essential oil inside?

This is still the beginning of the idea, and I’d love to grow it into something meaningful and lasting ✨

What would you use them for?

There’s something quietly satisfying about everyday objects becoming part of your story 🤍
I’ve been playing with a new idea — using my Fabode logo as the main decorative motif on this handmade ceramic tissue holder.
This cube-shaped box was handbuilt from terracotta clay, then brushed with a soft white slip to create that weathered, rustic surface I love so much. On each side, I painted my folk-inspired floral logo in deep green and chartreuse — simple, bold, and very Fabode.
The circular opening is framed with a delicate leafy detail, and the top is finished with a subtle pattern around the tissue slot.
I love the idea of branding not just with labels, but with decoration — letting the logo live as part of the design itself.
What do you think — should more Fabode pieces carry this signature floral mark? 🌿

It’s just a piece of cake… 🍰

Except it won’t add inches to your waistline — only charm to your shelf.

This handbuilt ceramic treasure box looks like a sweet little slice, layered in blush and chocolatey stripes, finished with a softly brushed rustic touch. And on top? A turquoise butterfly, casually stealing the spotlight. 🦋

Lift the lid and hide your tiny treasures inside — jewellery, notes, secrets, or actual emergency chocolate (I won’t judge).

Owning this slice? Easy.
Resisting it? Not so much.

I tried something different with this large bowl.

Instead of decorating the outside like I usually do, I painted the illustration inside. Because the bowl is wide and shallow, the little bird is fully visible the moment you look at it — open, calm, and framed by leafy branches.

But here’s the question…

As soon as you fill it with fruit, salad, or bread, the illustration disappears completely.
If I had decorated the outside, the design would always be visible — even when the bowl is in use.

Yet because the shape is so shallow, an outside decoration wouldn’t be as obvious or as striking.

So now I’m torn.

Do you prefer the artwork revealed when the bowl is empty…
or visible all the time, even when it’s filled?

I love how small design decisions can completely change the feeling of a piece.

What would you choose? 🤍

This little plate came out of the kiln with the soft, rustic character I love most — ivory brushed background, earthy rim, and a simple flower that feels like it belongs in a sunny kitchen window.

Each brushstroke is done by hand. That’s the beauty of slow ceramics.

What would you use this plate for — pastries, jewelry, or something else?

Seven little wings are ready to fly 🦋

I’ve been busy in the studio creating 7 unique butterfly ornaments. Each one was shaped and painted by hand, and honestly… I’m officially longing for spring.

I can’t wait for warmer days, open windows, and real butterflies dancing through my garden. Maybe if I make enough of these, the butterflies will get the hint and arrive a little sooner. 🌸✨

My obsession with Dala horses continues… and honestly, I’m not sure when I’ll get bored of this shape. 🐎✨

Handbuilt in rustic terracotta clay, finished with white slip and a sgraffito design that lets the details do the talking. There’s just something about this classic form that keeps pulling me back to it.

Anyone else have a shape they can’t quit?

This Dala horse is handmade from my favourite stoneware grogged terracotta clay. I love the texture, the strength, and the beautiful character this clay gives each piece.

Just love making these horses — each one feels a little bit special. 🐴✨

This vase was meant for Etsy.
But then I put it in this corner… and now it lives here.

Hand-coiled, slow, and a lot of work. I tried a new clay body with this batch, and none of the pieces turned out watertight—this one included. A frustration, yes, but also a reminder that not everything has to be functional to be worth keeping.

I really love the texture, the soft lines, the way it holds dried flowers so naturally. It’s imperfect, experimental, and exactly where it’s supposed to be right now.

Some pieces are just for living with. 🤍

This sculptural vase was hand-built from white clay, embracing softness, weight, and quiet movement.
The glaze is an off-white that gently shifts into beige where it thins, letting the form and texture speak rather than shout.

Because of its size, glazing was a two-person job—made possible with the help of my husband 🤍
I love how this piece feels both grounded and fluid, almost like a coastal object shaped by water and time.

I imagined it as a statement piece:
• anchoring a reception desk
• living in a calm, coastal interior
• or simply holding space, even when empty

Little things mean a lot. That is 100% agreed.
