COSTUME SALE - LAST FEW SPACES

THIS SATURDAY at the Made to Measure Productions HQ in Blandford, Dorset!

Perfect costumes for amateur and professional productions, schools, dance / drama schools, fancy dress boxes and so much more!

Hundreds of costumes available for sale, predominately pantomime but lots of other stock too!

Most items will be individually priced, but the sale will also include a ’jumble rail’ corner with a number of items at car-boot prices.

All prices will be +VAT and items must be taken on the day.

It's nearly the summer holidays and usually we'd be gearing up for another Swashbuckling Adventure with our potty pack of pirates!

Sadly, this will be the first year since 2014 when the Pirates won't be docking in Weymouth with their unique and spectacular summer pantomime.

We'd like to say a MASSIVE thank you to the tens of thousands of audience members who came to see the show over the last 9 years - the Pirates have visited Egypt, come face-to-face with dinosaurs, travelled under the sea, found treasure on desert islands, defeated an evil Ice Queen, headed over to the fabulous Nothe Fort for a Covid-safe production in 2020, and even built their very own theatre last year at Lodmoor Palladium!

A huge thank you also goes out to all of the cast and crew members who worked on the show during it's lifetime - such a huge number of people made the magic happen and it really is the end of an era!

We'd love to hear your memories of the show over the last 9 years, and even see any photos you've taken of our posse of Pirates - feel free to leave them in the comments! We've attached some of our favourite memories to this post.

So, for now, Captain Filibuster has shouted 'Weymouth for the continent' (Swanage for the incontinent!) for the last time, as our Pirates sail off across Weymouth Bay and into the sunset.

What a summer!

We'd like to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who supported the pirates at our brand new venue this summer - Lodmoor Palladium!

It was no mean feat to create a 650-seat theatre from the ground up, with our regular team taking on new jobs looking after Box Office, Front of House, Backstage and Bar, but we did it!

We were supported by so many volunteers who got into the swashbuckling spirit and took on roles front of house and backstage to make the production a success - it simply wouldn't be possible without their support

We are so grateful for the support of so many regular audience members - and it was equally as lovely to welcome new faces to our swashbuckling summer Panto!

We were also able to raise substantial donations for The Friends of Lodmoor Country Park to help with the renovation of their play-park Galleon which was unfortunately hit by vandalism earlier in the year.

Now that the Pirates have sailed away for another year, our team are excited to be working on exciting new projects for the future - including a return of Lodmoor Palladium...keep your eyes peeled!
