⭐ Starfish are seriously strange… and we love them for it! 🌊

Found in every ocean, there are over 2,000 known species of these incredible creatures.

No brain. No heart. No blood. 😲 But they do have a very unusual trick up their sleeve—or should we say, arm? They can push their stomach outside their body to digest food that’s too big to fit through their mouth, then pull it back inside to finish the job. 🤢😂

And it gets even wilder… if a predator grabs a starfish, some species can drop an arm and escape, then grow a new one later! 💪⭐

Most have five arms, but some have up to 24, plus hundreds of tiny tube feet to help them move, grip rocks and breathe.

Basically, starfish are ocean superheroes with some seriously weird superpowers! 🌊✨

After months of expert rehabilitation at SEA LIFE Weymouth and SEA LIFE Brighton, we've reached the moment we've been waiting for... their release into the Atlantic Ocean! 🐢🌊

Crush, Eden and Tiree are now swimming in the beautiful blue waters of the Azores. Watching them dive into the water is a moment we will never forget, but the mission doesn't stop here! In just a couple of weeks, 3 more turtles rehabilitated by SEA LIFE Hunstanton and SEA LIFE Scarborough will be joining them.

🐧✨ Meet Mystique! ✨🐧

Say hello to one of our adorable little fairy penguins at SEA LIFE Weymouth! 💙

Mystique was born on 24th May to proud parents Maggie and Clarence, and she’s certainly developed a personality of her own! 🥰

When Mystique first joined the colony, she needed a lot of convincing to take the plunge and swim. 💦 Unlike some of the other penguins, she wasn’t too sure about getting into the water!

These days, you’ll often find Mystique happily swimming or hanging out around the pool with her fellow penguins.

You can easily spot her in the colony by her two orange bands. 🧡🧡

And she has a very special best friend too — Rogue! 💕

As they’re a similar age, the pair have become firm friends and can often be found enjoying time together.

Next time you visit us, keep an eye out for Mystique and see if you can spot her! 👀🐧

Grab your Official Patrol Book and join our Turtle Rescue Team as you take on an exciting rescue mission around the park! 🦸‍♀️🐢

🔎 Choose which breed of turtle you’re going to save.

📖 Keep a log of your turtle’s details as you complete each rescue stage.

🎨 Get creative with turtle-y awesome crafts to take home.

🌊 Take part in the fun-filled activity trail.

🐢 Meet our Green Sea Turtles, Josie and Sharkey, when you reach our amazing ocean tunnel.
