We are aware that there were issues with traffic today and as such we re-opened up Custom House Quay and Pilgrims Way to ease the flow near the festival site. We have amended our signage to further highlight the road closures and restrictions on parking.

Please do not drive towards the Pavilion Car Park - use the Swannery Car Park, South Western Rail, Park & Ride and local bus services to get into Weymouth before walking down to the festival.

We were also made aware of multiple traffic incidents around Weymouth, which all impacted the town centre.

We apologise for the inconvenience to residents and visitors. We are working with the council to ensure the weekend runs as smoothly as possible.

We look forward to welcoming you over the weekend 🦀

🚂 Coming to the Dorset Seafood Festival this weekend?
Leave the car at home.
South Western Railway runs regular services into Weymouth.

Or use the Mount Pleasant Park & Ride with the bus straight to the waterfront.

Already in Weymouth? Just follow the crowds. See you there. 🦞🐟

On the Galley Stage on Sunday at 1pm: Mark Hartstone from La Fosse at Cranborne - la-fosse.com

Mark swapped geology for gastronomy on the first day of the millennium. Trained with Raymond Blanc and Pierre Chevillard, he went on to win a national professional chef's competition and multiple regional titles including Dorset Chef of the Year. Since 2008, Mark and his wife Emmanuelle have run La Fosse at Cranborne, celebrated in the Good Food Guide for its tasting menus, cheeseboards and cookery classes.

Mark will be making a trio of mackerel: so**ed, hot smoked and seared.
