🖤 Inside the studio with Lhouette Art

Our recent visit offered a closer look at the creative world behind his work, from the silhouettes that shape his visual identity to the layered references, materials and ideas that continue to drive his practice forward.

Studio visits like this are always a valuable exchange. They give us the chance to see what is taking shape at source, while also sharing our insight from the gallery floor: what collectors are responding to, how the market is moving and where his work continues to make its strongest impact.

A rare glimpse behind the finished pieces, and into the conversations that help shape what comes next.

We've welcomed a lot of new faces here recently, so we thought it was about time we properly introduced ourselves 💙

This is the team behind Wyecliffe Galleries.

The people answering your calls, hanging exhibitions, wrapping artworks, planning events, photographing new collections, making cups of tea, solving last-minute problems, driving across the country to deliver paintings, and occasionally wondering how there aren't enough hours in the day….!

Wyecliffe first opened its doors in Weybridge in 2004, but one thing has never changed: we've always believed that buying art should feel personal.

We're collectors, storytellers, problem-solvers, art enthusiasts and, above all, people who genuinely love helping others discover artwork that means something to them.

Every painting we sell ends up somewhere special. A family home. A first apartment. A new business. A room that's been waiting for the perfect piece.

That's why we care so much about the experience around it. We love welcoming people into the gallery. We love hearing what draws someone to a particular artwork. We love introducing collectors to artists they'll follow for years. And we never get tired of seeing the excitement when a painting finally finds its new home.

We're incredibly lucky that our profession allows us to spend our days surrounded by amazing artists, wonderful collectors and a team of people who genuinely care about what they do.

Whether you've visited us in person, joined one of our live launches, collected from us online, or you've only just discovered us recently, thank you for being part of the Wyecliffe community. It means more than you probably realise.

👇 We'd love to know a little more about you. What was the artwork, artist or moment that first made you fall in love with art?

One of the most common mistakes we see when helping clients choose artwork?

Thinking too small.

It's understandable. Most people focus on the dimensions of the wall rather than the scale of the room as a whole.

In spaces with high ceilings, open-plan layouts or striking architecture, a smaller piece can often feel lost. The artwork doesn't need to dominate the room, but it does need enough presence to hold its own.

This installation is a great example of getting that balance right. The artwork feels in proportion to the space around it, creating a natural focal point within the room.

One of the questions we often ask clients is: "What does the space need?". Sometimes the answer is colour. Sometimes it's texture. Sometimes it's a collection of smaller works. And sometimes, the answer is simply to think bigger.

✨ What's the one wall in your home that you've never quite known what to do with?

Behind the scenes with Lhouette⚡️

Ben and Katia recently stepped inside Lhouette’s dynamic studio for an exclusive first look at the latest works taking shape; from striking wall sculptures in development to bold new concepts still evolving behind the scenes.

These studio visits are such an important part of what we do. They give us the chance to understand where an artist’s work is heading, share insight from the gallery floor, discuss what collectors are responding to, and explore how wider art trends are shaping the next chapter.

With Lhouette, there is always a sense of momentum. New materials. New forms. And that unmistakable blend of pop culture, urban energy, and sharp social commentary that makes his work instantly recognisable.

Seeing these pieces at this stage of the creative process is something special, and trust us, there are some incredible things on the horizon 👀

A closer look at 'Wendy And Peter In Neverland' 🧚‍♀️ Kerry Darlington’s beautiful new edition from her beloved Peter Pan collection.

Through delicate linework, soft tonal detail and hand-applied silver leaf, Kerry Darlington captures one of the story’s most quietly powerful moments: not the adventure of Neverland, but the connection between Wendy and Peter at its heart.

Tender, nostalgic and filled with the fragile magic of childhood, this new edition is now available to collect.

Some of the most important works we handle are never released online.

Selected pieces from our extensive archive are released privately, offered directly to collectors through enquiry rather than public listing.

This current release focuses on a small number of hand-signed Stan Lee editions; official Marvel-approved works issued with certification and preserved in exceptional condition.

With finite availability, strong provenance and increasing collector interest surrounding authenticated comic and entertainment art, these works occupy a fascinating space between contemporary art, cultural history and blue-chip memorabilia.

Available privately through Wyecliffe Galleries.

DM or enquire directly for current availability.

Four weeks on, and we are still thinking about 'A Sky Full of Stories'.🌳

Walking through the gallery like this was a reminder of just how extraordinary the exhibition was. From the hero artwork inspired by The Magic Faraway Tree to her much-loved Alice in Wonderland pieces, portraiture, and works inspired by the Wizarding World, every wall was filled with the storytelling, nostalgia, and layered detail that collectors know and love.

As Kerry Darlington's flagship gallery, Wyecliffe is proud to present the largest exhibitions of her work, thanks to our extensive collection from her portfolio, from original artworks to rare and unique editions.

A month later, we are still not over it.
