Today would have been the late Freddie Mercury 80th Birthday.
He is most known for being the lead singer of the band Queen .
He also indirectly saved lives by breaking the stigma surrounding HIV/AIDS when he came out with his public diagnosis just before his death. This also helped inspire global fundraising for care and research.
