Our next Artist of the Moment is Magic Jayne🪄🎩✨ with her Funky Footwear.
The exhibition has a footwear collective that sparkles and shines with vibrant fireworks of colour. A magical statement for feet that want to be noticed!

Jayne is not only a fabulous creative, she is an actual MAGICIAN and a member of the Magic Circle; she is also a Keynote Speaker. Read more about her story in biography displayed in the window.

Lovely to see Hugs in the Making in the local press. A year of people coming together, sharing skills and making something that will now bring comfort to people at the end of life. Thank you to everyone who gave their time, creativity and care to make it happen. 👇🥰

Nine hand-crafted blankets made from 400+ crochet squares have been donated to Weston General Hospital's end-of-life care team.

Who can attend?
Adults aged 19+ who are on a low income and live in North Somerset.

This is fabulous news! We’re really pleased to hear that the Scrapstore has been saved. Our community uses this fantastic resource regularly, and we know how important it is to so many local groups, artists and community projects.

🧠 Got a creative idea that could make a difference in North Somerset?

The Community Chest Grant Fund is now open, offering £300 to £3,000 to support community-led creative health ideas that help people connect, feel supported and improve wellbeing.

We know funding applications can be daunting so as one of the Community Chest Anchor Organisations we are thrilled to offer you one to one support with completing your application. Get in touch with us now to find out more! Email [email protected] with the subject heading COMMUNITY CHEST.

Ideas supported through the Community Chest will align to one or more themes:
· Ageing Well & Dementia
· Work Well (workforce wellbeing)
· Grief & Bereavement

You do not need to fit neatly into one theme. We actively encourage:
· Ideas that cross themes
· Creative approaches
· Work that brings different groups together

Whether it's an intergenerational arts project, a wellbeing group with creative activities, or something completely different, we'd love to hear about it. If your idea supports connection, creativity and wellbeing, it could be a great fit for Community Chest funding.

We’re thrilled to announce the re-opening of Imaginarium - Weston Comic Book Shop on Meadow Street, by our very own Artspace member, Rossi Mccomb!

Rossi joined the Artspace community in 2022 when we had our High Street studio. In 2023, we were awarded a fellowship through Visual Arts South West to develop the Artspace community. We wanted to encourage new groups to form, so we offered a bursary for materials. Rossi applied to run a comic book group, something he’s incredibly passionate about and was selected.

He began running the group, bringing like-minded comic book enthusiasts into Artspace to create together. In 2024, when we lost our High Street space, Rossi persevered with the group and found a new home at The Other Place

In October 2025, during the opening weekend at Old Town Quarry in the Artspace cabin, Rossi was commissioned through Artspace with thanks to funding from the Weston-super-Mare Town Council to run a comic book workshop, and he continues to run his group fortnightly on Sundays, 10am–12pm.

We asked Rossi what it means to him to open up this comic book store in Weston, and he said:

“It’s a dream come true an we’re really hoping we can make it a successful place where creative people and opportunities can thrive.
I want to share the power of comics as they can be life changing, versatile and can engage the brain in different ways!”

The Artspace community is extremely proud of Rossi and all that he has achieved.
