Running Commentary

After a decade of no exercise (besides child-rearing and reaching for cake) 41 year old poet P Burton-Morgan finds themselves newly single and hungry to return to pre-childbirth levels of fitness.

Cue Rocky montage, but with a middle-aged red-faced mum reciting sonnets on the South West Coast path. So far so solitary until they join their local running club and find themselves drawn into a world of flirting, friendship, fierce competition and the unexpected discovery that they’re ferociously fast.

With their trademark mix of witty wordplay and open-hearted tenderness this solo show is a silly, sexy, sweaty romp – don’t forget to stretch first...

5Rhythms Ecstatic Dance with Jon Ralls

You Love Dancing to Great Music … but not the late nights, substances and selfies?! You’re not alone!

The 5Rhythms® is the original, the mother of modern ecstatic dance practices. A simple, powerful moving meditation that anyone – of any age, size, or physical ability – can practise. Lightly guided, there are no steps to follow, no choreography to learn, no way to do it wrong. The only requirement is a body that is still breathing, a heart that is still beating, and mind that is still curious!

Creativity. Connection. Community.

FREE WORKSHOP for Musicians and Singers with Zaid Hilal

This workshop is designed for musicians who want to go beyond playing notes and start understanding the language of Arabic music through its core foundation: the maqam system. In this workshop, we will explore how maqams work in practice, how they are constructed, and how musicians can apply them creatively in performance and composition.

What’s happening with climate and nature, and what does it mean for everyday life in the UK?

Join us for a screening of the People’s Emergency Briefing - an eye-opening 50-minute film bringing together nine leading UK scientists and experts with the latest evidence and why it matters for things like:
🌧️ Extreme weather
🍞 Food security
🏥 Health
💷 Cost of living

The film is based on the National Emergency Briefing in Westminster (featured by ITV, Channel 4 and The Times) with appearances from Chris Packham, Deborah Meaden, and a range of voices from across the UK.

After the film there will be an open discussion about what it means for our community and what we can do locally.
