Front Room is an award winning fringe theatre venue in Weston-Super-Mare. Our aim is to present exciting adult and family theatre productions to the Weston community and provide a platform for local artists and theatre companies to share their work in their home town. Front Room wants to provide opportunities for people living in and around Weston-Super-Mare to be creative, share stories and participate in community projects, as well as getting to see work from around the country being presented on their doorstep.

Jeremy Tuplin

Somerset’s very own Jeremy Tuplin returns to the South-West for a run of shows this autumn.

Following on from his acclaimed fifth album, Planet Heaven, released in October last year on Trapped Animal Records, and a live album last spring, we’re thrilled that Tuplin will be performing in Weston-Super-Mare for the first time.

Tuplin is an indie singer-songwriter known for lyrical, storytelling songs influenced by poetic songwriting of early heroes like Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan, and expanded with psychedelic and occasionally experimental instrumentation and production with bands like The Flaming Lips, King Gizzard or The Velvet Underground as comparable references.

Circus skills are an ancient and diverse art form from across the globe, and there is a circus skill for everyone. With wide ranging benefits, both mentally and physically, join the Tiny Circus in exploring circus for yourself. No previous experience is required, and all equipment is provided- poi, diabolo, juggling and more. Play, socialise and escape the everyday with new skills.

Gigs for little ones… and their grown-ups!

Steph and Craig are back, and their theme this month is Colours! They will explore the kaleidoscope with a range of fabulous and well known ditties, all with colours in their titles and lyrics.

Yes, there will be Prince. Yes, there will be Coldplay. And yes, you can bet your rainbows there will be Spandau Ballet. Plus many more!

Come and join us with your little ones for a joyful jump around to some great tunes.

Doggie Life Drawing

If you love drawing and dogs, this may be your ideal evening!

The evening is self-directed by artist Tracy Wride – she will introduce the dogs and host the event. You can choose the dog you want to draw and you can move around so everyone gets to draw each dog. Some will sleep, some will up be for introducing themselves. The fun for the artists is capturing each dog’s personality.

Expect to meet a variety of models, each with their own unique shape, size and personality! Each class will showcase a multitude of hairy beasts, all with a welcoming wag and wet nose. There is a break midway through so you can grab a drink and have a stretch. Meet the dogs and their parents, have a selfie with the models or a cuddle. Share your work at the end of the event if you like.

This is open to all skill levels and all materials are provided. Of course, you are more than welcome to bring your own equipment.
