I got a thing about lines and geometry a few weeks ago go. I knew I wanted to mix freehand lines and ruled lines.
I also knew that there was some stuff I wanted to get out of my system.
If you look at the pictures, you can see that there's one in monochrome. That particular drawing came about because of Doctor Who.
There was stuff around about the original broadcast in '63, and then I'd seen something on the internet: an extract from the episode The Idiot's Lantern.
Broadcasting, lines and transmitters got thrown into that one.
There's another one there which has to do with a sort of half insult that was thrown at me at school, and it also involves a geometry set and stencils just like we used to have.
There's some kind of story to each of the pictures, but sometimes the story only develops while I'm in the middle of creating.
At other times, the story is a starting point and I might know what the first few lines are going to be, but I don't know where the rest is going to come from.
