To be clear - I did not paint this from my imagination.. I used a reference image, but half way through painting I realised why I was so drawn to this dog and it gave me a lovely nostalgic moment. 😊. I’m still hankering after getting a dog. One day … 🤞🏼🤞🏼

So happy to finally be able to share this portrait of Barney now that it’s safely with its new owner.

I had to keep this one under wraps for a while as it was a surprise gift. Barney was a much-loved cat, and it was an honour to create this painting in his memory.

I’m so pleased that Chris loves the finished painting. Creating portraits that help celebrate and remember much-loved pets is always a privilege. 🐾

No matter how wonderful the printers are, the prints you can get of your artwork are only as good as the photos you provide. I have been struggling with this so finally bit the bullet and got some ‘proper’ equipment! Keep your fingers crossed for me! 🤞🏼😬

Started painting this beautiful Cocker Spaniel over a week ago but lately it’s been just too hot to paint.

Been putting my paint palette and brushes in the fridge every afternoon to stop the oil paint oxidising - not sure if it has helped but thought I’d give it a go 😂

I’ve always loved portrait painting, but looking back now… I think this may have been the moment I realised the faces I really wanted to paint were those of animals! 😮🤔
