Well I didn’t get through the final round of RA..... I just got the words unhung. However, on the exact moment of seeing the word I had about 4 thoughts of what needs to be improved with this painting. The front is beautiful but if I’m honest the back is to shoddy for the RA and I’m not even sure if the painting would have lied flat against the wall. And if I was the curator and saw the back I wouldn’t of hung it either! So the material is 110% perfect! How the structure and the way it is displayed NOT! Also this painting is mediocre and if I get in the RA I wanna b centre stage. So the size is just blah as well. I have only just starting working with this gorgeous bling bling material so can’t wait to crack on. What this process has taught me is I just want my artwork on the wall of the RA in London...I don’t give a s**te about solo shows, groups shows etc. So I need to make a MAGNIFICENT piece of work and that is my goal,,, SIMPLE FOCUSSED AND PURE. Also my goal has shifted I’m no longer impressed with the turner prize so u would like to b a ROYAL ACADEMIAN ..... or I want RA After my name. So thank you RA for having standards if I had of got in I would have rested on my lorells and that s**te. So the process of getting in the RA is the artwork itself as well 💕💕💕 watch this space I was up all last nite playing with ideas already this is goin to fu***ng good. Title: BEAUTIFULLY HERSELF well I finished this painting last nite and since starting my Art properly 13yrs ago this is my best work. I always show the brash loud side and never the vulnerable, unravelled, unsewn, up side down, inside out side. It has been so FREEING to show this and to fall in love with everything art again. As a tramp said to me in my early twenty’s “ITS BETTER TO HAVE LOVED AND LOST THAN TO NEVER HAVE LOVED AT ALL” To fall in love is the best and hardest feeling ever. To feel so deeply is scary, courageous and beautiful 💖💖💖 CANT WAIT TO SEE THESE PAINTINGS IN THE ARENA THEY DESERVE. And to take decent photos of them. .
